Mechollage was founded in 2009 by Todd Ricks, a proud Norfolk native and veteran of the U.S. Air Force. What started as one man’s way of making an honest living turned into something much more—a calling to serve the community he’s always called home.
Todd grew up in Lynnhaven Colony, back when the dunes were untouched and summer days meant swimming lessons in the woods off Shore Drive. Those roots run deep—and so does his commitment to this region. After a hardship separation from the military to support his family during his youngest son’s battle with leukemia, Todd knew his purpose: to build something lasting, something meaningful, and something he could one day pass on.
